Wordless Wednesday: On the road

This is what we do these days

It's finally spring, after months of freezing cold and snow. The pram has been standing in the hallway, awaiting clear skies and higher temperatures.
So, yesterday we started by strolling the neighbourhood. Today we went to the towncentre, to do a little shopping. I bought some cute trousers and a hoodie for you. I love walking with the pram, but I hate manoeuvreing the thing in the shops! You were asleep when I browsed through the babyclothes, so I could take my time. We took our time walking back home, taking a different route. When we went to the centre we walked alongside the canal, very peaceful and relaxing. In both directions we had bridges to cross, so you went up and down in your pram. All the way you were looking through the little plastic window in the hood of your pram, seeing blue skies, treebranches and shopceilings. There's a whole lot a' world out there, and finally you get to see it!

Freedom

that's what seems to be the word you'd say if you could talk. So much going on, developmentwise.
* you try to roll over by pushing your head backwards, in an attempt to move your shoulders in the wanted direction
* you touch (and slam) things, also big buttons on your toys
* you drink five bottles in a full day, sleeping through the night!
* you 'talk' more, making gargle sounds and training your vowels
* in the tummytub, you stretch your legs and push upwards, in an attempt to stand up
* you look at who's coming through the door
* you smile a lot, with sounds and all!
* you recognise the people who are most around you (like me, dad, your brother, your grandparents)
* when we come to your bed after you've been sleeping, you smile in the most amazing way
* you GROW!!!
all of this at 10,5 weeks old ...

The best place in the whole wide world

is on your mummy's shoulder. You drule, you snore, you totally surrender. When you feel al little unpleasant, I lift you in my arms, and it only takes minutes to get you to sleep. It's the sweetest feeling ever!

Out and about

You're nine weeks old now, and even though there's still snow (for the last three months!!!), we get out more with you. Today we went shopping and afterwards we went to see your grandparents. While we drank coffee, you got your bottle by grandpa. Oh, how great it is to drink your formula, after painting the town!
